The Production Engineering Technician will provide support to engineering and production personnel in the design, testing and manufacturing of Accumetrics products. 

Additional Duties: 

  • Fabricate and assemble mechanical and electrical design prototypes for testing and validation.
  • Develop and execute test protocols to evaluate products and processes.
  • Design and build assembly and test fixtures.
  • Create and maintain technical documents, drawings and Bills-of-Material.
  • Train personnel in manufacturing processes and test procedures.
  • Collect and disseminate test and measurement data.
  • Perform calculations and evaluations of test data and publish test reports.
  • Provide applications support to Sales and Customer Service for technical inquiries.
  • Support production technicians by resolving issues, performing failure analysis, and identifying training opportunities.
  • Identify process improvement for efficiency, error proofing, and fixture improvements.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Technology or related STEM field or equivalent experience in related field.
  • Experience: 8-10  years of technical work experience in an engineering, laboratory or manufacturing environment. Very strong technical aptitude. Proficiency with mechanical and electrical assembly, performing laboratory tests and the use of precision measurement tools (i.e. micrometers, calipers, multi-meters, oscilloscopes). Strong computer skills including MS Office, 2D & 3D CAD. Familiarity with data collection and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Technology or related STEM field preferred. Strong background and experience working in electrical engineering or electrical technology preferred.
