Position Summary:
Summit Interconnect is seeking a Production Control Supervisor. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Responsibilities:
- Schedules and plans production for efficiency in response to customer needs.
- Reviews job status to determine ship dates.
- Expedites production lots and quick-turn jobs to meet ship dates.
- Co-ordinates with alternate shift manager to update status of processes.
- Allocates personnel, equipment and resources to meet production schedules.
- Co-ordinates inventory levels of specific essential materials.
Authorities:
- Responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations during an assigned shift.
- May assist Managers in the writing of manufacturing details and procedures.
- May supervise operators directly or through designated lead personnel.
- May employ disciplinary measures as specified in company handbook.
- May assist managers in employee performance evaluation.
- Communicate all production, quality and safety related issues to Director of Manufacturing and other shift managers/supervisor as needed.
- Ownership of outside services and for making sure that product returns in time.
General:
- Understanding of industry standards and appropriate application.
- Ability to read, writes, and speaks English fluently.
- Must be able to cooperate and communicate effectively with management and supervisory staff.
- Ability to effectively follow company systems and procedures.
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum eight (8) years’ experience in PCB industry in all different production areas. Preferred, but not required.
- Must have basic mathematical and reasoning ability.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
Physical Demands:
- This position requires the individual to perform for the entire shift while standing.
- Must have very good concentration and be able to remain focused with major interruptions.
