Job Description

Objectives:

Kalmbach’s objective for our Control Room Operator is a person who can work hard to learn our automated systems in a way to keep our team members safe, own quality of our superior feeds, and to work hard with other team members to delight our customers. 

Duties:

(The following functions are normal for this position.  These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive.  Other duties may be assigned or required.)

• Operate our automated pelleting system in a way that prioritizes safety and quality 
• To work directly with Kalmbach’s pelleting system to ensure consistent superior feeds are delivered to our customers
• To become subject experts on the pelleting system with detailed knowledge in process flow and preform preventative greasing and adjustments to help keep our systems running efficiently 
• To work directly with team members across the company and departments to ensure that all policies and protocols are supported in our operations 
• Document daily operations in a manor to support Kalmbach’s document procedures
• Strive to keep correct and accurate inventories of ingredients, parts, and orders. 
• Work along side other team members to complete needed tasks to keep our facilities clean and in the best operational order.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
• Evidence of analytical reasoning and mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

Preferred knowledge:

• Agriculture (livestock/grain feed) industry experience preferred.
• Knowledge of FSMA’s Qualified Individual requirement and General Food Safety Plans is preferred.
