The Production Control Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring manufacturing activities to ensure the timely production and delivery of products. This role manages work-in-process (WIP), inventory control, material transactions, and production scheduling while partnering with cross-functional teams to resolve material shortages and production issues. The position supports inventory accuracy, data analysis, ERP/MRP system maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives that drive operational efficiency and on-time delivery performance.

Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage daily work-in-process (WIP), job transactions, material movements, and inventory activities within assigned production areas to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
- Coordinate material kits, inventory control processes, cycle counts, and physical inventories while maintaining accurate records and inventory integrity.
- Analyze production data and collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, and other departments to identify and resolve production constraints, material shortages, and scheduling challenges.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, lean manufacturing practices, and workflow optimization efforts to improve productivity, reduce lead times, and enhance on-time delivery.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, safety requirements, quality standards, and management systems, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and 5S workplace organization standards.
- Provide general departmental support and perform additional production control and inventory management duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Manufacturing experience: 1+ years of experience in production control, inventory management, manufacturing coordination, logistics, or a related field preferred.
- Systems knowledge: Experience with inventory control systems, cycle counting, record management, and ERP/MRP systems; Oracle experience preferred.
- Technical proficiency: Strong Microsoft Office skills, including intermediate Excel capabilities.
- Core competencies: Excellent organizational planning, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Operational flexibility: Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments, including extended time on the production floor, support across varying shifts, and use of stairs, ladders, and production staging areas.
- Environmental readiness: Ability to wear required PPE and work in manufacturing conditions that may include varying temperatures, humidity, dust, noise, and other plant-related environmental factors.
