Qualifications


What You’ll Do

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automated processing and packaging systems, including sensors and control networks.

  • Monitor and support daily production automation to ensure continuous and efficient operation.

  • Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance on automation equipment.

  • Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to resolve mechanical, electrical, and control issues.

  • Support installation and commissioning of new automated equipment and system upgrades.

  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and maintenance records.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and assist in implementing automation projects.

  • Follow all safety procedures and ensure compliance with OSHA, food safety, and operational standards.

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certificate or Associate degree preferred.

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with automation and controls in a food manufacturing or similar industrial environment.

  • Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, PanelView HMIs, and industrial networks (EtherNet/IP, Modbus).

  • Strong problem-solving skills, innovative mindset, and ability to learn quickly.

  • Knowledge of PLC programming, industrial communication networks, and control systems.

  • Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

  • Commitment to safety and operational excellence.

  • Regular and reliable attendance.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Work in hot, cold, dusty, or humid food production environments.

  • Stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.

  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, based on production demands.

  • Wear required PPE at all times.
