Pay: $17.50 (+ $2 shift differential)

Available Shifts (Monday – Friday)

3rd Shift: 11:00pm - 7:30am

Location: 4040 7th Ave N, Fargo, ND 58102


Introduction:

The Production Associate is responsible for operating equipment specifically our large industrial roaster and performing tasks necessary for the efficient production of sunflower butter. This includes adhering to safety and quality standards, maintaining a clean work environment, and supporting overall production goals.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Equipment Operation:
    • Operate production machinery, including industrial roaster, grinders, mixers, and packaging equipment, in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
    • Monitor machinery to ensure proper function and report any issues to maintenance or supervision.
  2. Production Processes:
    • Assist in raw material handling, including loading sunflower seeds into equipment and monitoring ingredient flow.
    • Ensure production targets are met by working efficiently and maintaining a consistent workflow.
  3. Quality Assurance:
    • Assist the quality assurance team by inspecting products for quality and consistency, removing any defective items.
    • Follow all quality control guidelines and document results as required.
  4. Safety and Compliance:
    • Adhere to workplace safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
    • Maintain compliance with food safety regulations, including GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points).
  5. Housekeeping:
    • Perform routine cleaning of equipment and work areas to maintain a sanitary production environment.
    • Participate in end-of-shift clean-up and assist with deep cleaning as needed.
  6. Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with team members to ensure smooth operations.
    • Participate in team meetings and provide input for continuous improvement.

 

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a food production or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.

 

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in a production facility with varying temperatures (cooler or warmer environments depending on the process area).
  • Exposure to loud machinery, dust, and food-grade oils may occur.
  • Employees must wear appropriate PPE such as gloves, hairnets, and ear protection.
  • Production schedules may require overtime, weekend, or holiday shifts.
