Job Summary:

Operates machinery and performs activities necessary for production of Hexagon Lincoln products. Activities include reading and understanding machine instructions, safety manuals, process specifications and other work instructions.

Shift Schedules:

A Shift

  • Tuesday – Thursday 6:00 am - 12:30 pm for 6-hour shifts
  • Sunday and Monday 6:00 am – 6:30 pm for 12-hour shifts
  • Off Friday and Saturday

B Shift

  • Tuesday – Thursday 6:00 pm-12:30 pm for 6-hour shifts
  • Sunday and Monday 6:00 pm – 6:30 am for 12-hour shifts
  • Off Friday and Saturday

C Shift

  • Tuesday – Thursday 12:00 am-6:30 pm for 6-hour shifts
  • Friday and Saturday 6:00 am – 6:30 pm for 12-hour shifts
  • Off Sunday and Monday

D Shift

  • Tuesday – Thursday 12:00 pm-6:30 am for 6-hour shifts
  • Friday and Saturday 6:00 pm – 6:30 am for 12-hour shifts
  • Off Sunday and Monday

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Produce products per standard procedures, process specifications and other work instructions.

· Demonstrates consistent aptitude to meet and exceed established production goals.

· Read and understand machine instructions, safety manuals, process specifications and other documentation necessary to produce quality product.

· Set-up and tear down production machinery, validate progress of machine’s work and adjusts as necessary.

· Assemble parts to match product specifications either by hand or with tools (hand tools and power tools).

· Demonstrate leadership by complying with safety programs, policies and guidelines to ensure safe, clean, orderly and productive working conditions.

· Must be highly productive with minimal guidance and supervision.

· Notify appropriate chain of command with quality or production issues, with the ability to offer solutions and suggestions on how to address the issue.

· Respects and supports leadership, co-workers and subordinates.

· Work closely with other team members in accomplishing individual and team member training goals, communicating any concerns.

· Apply subject matter knowledge to develop other team members strengths.

· Consistently demonstrates commitment to Hexagon’s values of Integrity and Drive in all aspects of employment.

· Comply with company policies and procedures.

· Other duties as assigned.

Supervisor Responsibilities:

The job has no supervisory responsibilities

Education, Certifications & Qualifications:

· High School Diploma or GED preferred

· Ability to become Certified on Industrial Power Equipment (hoist / crane, forklift, comb lift, shag truck, man-lift and scissor lift etc.)

· Strong work ethic / High Integrity & Drive / Ability to work various shifts and available for Over-Time.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Ability to accurately use measuring devices (pi-tape, air pressure gauges, etc.)

· Ability to operate power tools (hand saws, drill guns, jig saw, etc.)

· Demonstrated mechanical aptitude

· Ability to read detailed instructions

· Provide accurate record keeping

· Basic computer knowledge

· Proven success in the training of co-workers

· Ability to work in a fast paced and demanding environment with a strong sense of urgency

· Must demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail

· Ability to work in a team environment and work independently

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand for long periods of time (up to 12 hours per day) and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must be able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds on a regular basis and up to 120 lbs on an occasional basis (team lift available). Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.

This position may work additional days outside established work schedule to achieve production goals as necessary. Additionally, work in the plant and outdoors in the field, therefore subject to all weather conditions sometimes to include extreme cold and heat. The work described while working in the plant or field will require wearing all PPE depending on circumstance which may include: safety glasses, hard hat, ear protection, leather gloves, safety vest and steel toed boots

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 per hour with shift differential for off shifts
