Position: Production Associate

Summary/Objective 
 The Production Associate is responsible for the production of quality parts and materials based on company policies customer requirements and specifications.

Essential Functions

1. Understand and follow all safety precautions and startup/shutdown procedures. 
2. Operate the machine in a way that eliminates shutdown and fixtures following standard operating procedures.
3. Report to the line supervisor about any issues on their machine fixtures, product, or department.
4. Ensure maximum product quality.
5. Cross-train and perform other duties as assigned.
6. Achieve daily production goals.
7. Report any issues affecting production or accuracy.
8. Ability to work overtime (mandatory and/or planned).
9. always Conducting themselves professionally.
10. Maintaining a clean workspace (5S adept and maintain).
11. Daily review of understanding of work instructions.
12. Demonstrate willingness to learn.
13. Have a positive work attitude and accountability.
14. Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

 Competencies

1. Read work instructions.
2. Work independently without supervision.
3. Utilize equipment properly.
4. Perform visual inspections for defects.

 Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.                                                                                                                    

 Work Environment

1. This job operates in a manufacturing environment with loud noises and the usage of sharp utensils (razor blades).  The position requires the wearing of safety glasses, safety vests, gloves, and other personal protective equipment necessary and appropriate as designated by the materials being handled.
2. Must be 18 years or older

 Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

 While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. This is largely a sedentary role; however, this would require the ability to lift and move up to 30 lbs., stand for long periods, work independently, and perform repeated ranges of motion including bending and stretching.

 This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work may vary based on company needs.

 Travel 

Little to no travel is expected for this position.

 Required Education and Experience

 High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED with 6 months of warehouse/manufacturing experience.
