Summary
This position is responsible for performing production work. The responsibilities of this position include manual and automated means of filling containers with product, packing product, stacking, and moving product. Associates must be able to have high standards and understanding of quality and packaging processes.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Always maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Cleaning, maintaining, and organizing packaging material and equipment.
Changing product filters, cleaning tank product lines, production equipment, and intermediate bulk containers.
Support and adhere to Synsus Private Label Partners’ safety, quality, cleanliness, & production standards.
Follow Job Batch Record for filling and packaging liquids.
Fill out Quality Control Job Record and include appropriate in process quality check results.
Utilize scales suitable for the weighing operation.
Understand the difference between gross and net weight. Be able to convert pounds to gallons.
Stack packaged product on pallets by hand if necessary, in designated pattern.
Ensure conformance to quality and appearance specifications.
Report damaged or ineffective equipment to maintenance.
Set up, tune, and operate packaging filling equipment including but not limited to jug filler, capper, labeler, lot encoder, case sealer and auto palletizer.
Sweep, mop, and remove debris.
Scrap waste material from machine.
Assist with chemical operations, warehousing, and shipping and receiving.
Operate a powered industrial truck to move materials around the plant.
Take instructions from line leaders, supervisors, and managers.
Any other duties assigned.
Qualifications
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proficiency in math, reading comprehension, and mechanical reasoning with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
Education & Experience
GED or high school diploma equivalency.
