Position Overview:

As a Production Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and smooth flow of materials throughout our production facility. Your primary responsibility will be to handle, transport, and organize various glass and aluminum components, ensuring they are readily available. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to safety will be critical to maintaining an optimal workflow and meeting production deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely and efficiently handle glass and aluminum materials, including sheets, profiles, hardware, and related components, using appropriate lifting and moving equipment.
  • Transport materials between storage areas, production lines, and workstations, ensuring accurate and timely delivery to support fabrication processes.
  • Collaborate closely with fabricators, project managers, and other team members to anticipate material requirements and ensure adequate inventory levels are maintained.
  • Inspect incoming materials for quality, accuracy, and damage, reporting any issues or discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including storage racks, shelves, and staging areas, to ensure easy accessibility and minimize the risk of accidents or damage.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including proper handling and storage techniques for glass and aluminum materials.
  • Collaborate with the purchasing and logistics teams to monitor inventory levels, participate in cycle counts, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Strong physical stamina and ability to handle heavy objects.
  • Proficiency in material handling equipment, with a focus on safety and precision.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet production deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented mindset, with the ability to identify and report quality issues or damage to materials.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.Knowledge of basic computer operations, including inventory management systems, is desirable.
