General Job Description

Material handlers move and supply products in the facility, move materials or finished goods, handle materials in a safe and orderly manner. Assist with the timely fulfilment and delivery of products

Key Responsibilities

  • Load materials into machines

  • Handle materials, scraps, and waste

  • Sort materials

  • Load and unload incoming and outgoing materials and products

  • Move materials to and from loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and manufacturing areas

  • Identify and label materials, and record their locations on the production floor to maintain inventory

  • Prepare finished products for tire production

  • Perform general housekeeping and sanitation tasks

  • Safely operate a forklift (following appropriate training)

  • Move products in manufacturing facilities, either manually or using equipment such as trucks or forklifts. Their responsibilities may include pulling inventory and moving stock and other materials.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equilavent

  • Ability to obtain Forklift Certification

  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend and to lift heavy materials

  • Ability to obtain Crane Training
