Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Assembly Operator 1 to join our manufacturing team. This is an entry-level production position responsible for assembling products according to established work instructions, maintaining consistent production levels, and ensuring finished products meet company quality standards.

The ideal candidate is someone who can stay focused on repetitive tasks, follow instructions carefully, work independently, and take pride in producing quality work. Previous manufacturing experience is helpful but a strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn are important for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble electrical connectors and related components according to job instructions
• Read, understand, and follow written work instructions and production procedures
• Select and use the appropriate tools, components, and materials for each job
• Inspect completed products and identify sub-standard or defective components
• Separate rejected products from those that meet quality standards
• Maintain consistent production to meet or exceed established production standards
• Complete required paperwork and enter production information into the MES system
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Properly maintain and care for tools and equipment
• Follow all company policies and procedures
• Work effectively with supervisors, managers, and other team members
• Work independently with minimal supervision when required
• Adapt to process changes and learn new production procedures and skills
• Assist with other tasks as needed to maintain production flow
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing, assembly, warehouse, or production experience is helpful but not required
• Ability to follow detailed written instructions
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Ability to stay focused and productive while performing repetitive tasks
• Basic computer skills and ability to perform data entry
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management
• Ability to work independently
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Willingness to learn new processes and adapt to changes
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to remain standing for the majority of the work shift
• Ability to perform repetitive assembly tasks
• Ability to maintain concentration and attention to detail throughout the shift
• Ability to safely use required hand tools and production equipment

Safety & Quality

Safety and quality are critical parts of this position. Employees are expected to:

• Follow all safety rules and procedures for their assigned work area
• Use tools and equipment properly
• Report accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to a supervisor immediately
• Identify and report quality issues
• Follow established procedures to prevent defective products from reaching customers
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation

Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone who is reliable, focused, detail-oriented, and willing to learn. This position is well suited for someone who enjoys hands-on work and can maintain a consistent pace while performing repetitive assembly and inspection tasks.

You don't necessarily need extensive manufacturing experience. Someone with a background in production, assembly, warehouse work, machine operation, packaging, or other hands-on environments could be a good fit as long as they can follow instructions, maintain quality, and show up consistently.
