Position Overview

We are hiring Production Assemblers for manufacturing facilities in Stoughton, Evansville, and Brodhead, Wisconsin. These positions are responsible for assembling components and completing various stages of the production process while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards.

This is a hands-on manufacturing position that requires comfort working with hand and power tools, measuring materials, fastening components, and working as part of a production team. The underlying Assembler I role involves multiple stages of the trailer-building process.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assemble components and subassemblies according to production specifications
  • Position and fasten parts using bolts, screws, rivets, and other fasteners
  • Operate hand and power tools including drills, impact wrenches, rivet guns, grinders, sanders, routers, and similar equipment
  • Measure materials and components using a tape measure
  • Read and follow blueprints, work instructions, and production documentation
  • Drill through materials including aluminum, steel, and wood as required
  • Prepare metal surfaces and components for assembly
  • Perform quality checks throughout the assembly process
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and productive workstation
  • Work closely with other production employees to meet daily manufacturing goals
  • Maintain dependable attendance and work scheduled overtime as required

The position specifically involves fastening and assembling components, drilling aluminum, steel, and wood, and completing measurement layouts from blueprints.

Qualifications

  • Manufacturing, production, construction, mechanical, or assembly experience is preferred
  • Comfortable working with hand and power tools
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints or willingness to develop blueprint-reading skills
  • Basic math and measurement skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn new production processes
  • Strong attention to quality and detail
  • Ability to work at a fast and consistent production pace
  • Dependable attendance
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively as part of a team
  • Willingness to work Friday overtime when required

The position requires employees to understand blueprints, tape measures, and applicable company documents while possessing basic math skills.

Tools & Equipment

Depending on the assigned production area, employees may work with:

  • Hand and power drills
  • Impact wrenches
  • Rivet and Huck guns
  • Grinders and disk sanders
  • Hydraulic punches
  • Pneumatic equipment
  • Routers and drill presses
  • Table saws
  • Tape measures and other measuring tools

Required PPE may include safety glasses, steel-toed footwear, hearing protection, and additional safety equipment based on the assigned task.
