If You Can Rebuild an Engine, You Can Build This

If you’re a mechanic, you know the difference between tightening one bolt all day and building something real.

That’s what this job is.

At Husqvarna Construction in Olathe, KS, our Mechanical Assemblers don’t stand on an assembly line. Instead, you build one machine from start to finish using a modular build system. When you’re done, you’ll have a fully assembled piece of professional equipment used to cut concrete, masonry, tile, and metal on jobsites around the world.

Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. with occasional overtime.

If you’ve worked as a mechanic, technician, or mechanical assembler, this is the kind of role where your skills actually matter.

What You’ll Be Building

• Concrete saws
• Masonry and tile cutting equipment
• Metal cutting tools
• Hole saw systems and other professional equipment

What the Work Looks Like

You’ll receive a work order and the parts needed for your build. From there you will:

🔧 Assemble engines, motors, transmissions, axles, pumps, blade shafts, and cutting heads
🔧 Wire motors, engines, and switchboxes
🔧 Use hand tools and pneumatic tools to complete the build
🔧 Follow blueprints and assembly instructions
🔧 Align, torque, and fine-tune components
🔧 Run the machine to test performance
🔧 Inspect, finish, and prepare it for shipment

When the machine leaves your station, it’s complete — because you built it.

The Experience You Need

We’re looking for people who already know their way around tools and machinery.

✔ 1–2 years of mechanical assembly, mechanic, or equipment repair experience
✔ Comfortable using hand tools, pneumatic tools, and mechanical components
✔ Ability to read instructions or blueprints
✔ Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
