Department: Operations
Reports To: Facility Operations Manager
Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Position Overview

The Production Associate is responsible for mixing colors and bases to meet established product specifications. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product quality by accurately following formulas, matching color standards, and supporting overall production operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Measure and weigh materials according to formula sheets
• Mix tints and bases to achieve accurate color matches
• Ensure all products meet established quality and color standards
• Maintain accurate inventory levels and report discrepancies
• Keep work area clean, organized, and safe
• Cross-train in other departments and support additional duties as needed

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic math and measurement skills
• Ability to read and follow instructions and formulas
• Ability to work independently and stay on task

Preferred:

• Previous manufacturing experience
• Experience with paint, coatings, or stain matching

Skills & Abilities:

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good problem-solving and reasoning ability
• Ability to meet required color testing standards
• Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude

Physical & Work Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and use of hands
• Work performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to coatings and solvents (PPE provided)
