Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage busway testing operations per UL857 standards
  • Lead test planning, scheduling, and coordination
  • Oversee test documentation and reporting processes
  • Manage lab equipment calibration and tooling
  • Collaborate with global teams to plan and coordinate short circuit testing at external laboratories in the USA for various new product development projects.
  • Lead and coordinate UL certification discussions regarding product testing and compliance requirements. Serve as primary contact for UL witness testing events.
  • Supervise technical staff
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Support R&D and new product development projects
  • Inventory management of test materials
  • Develop and maintain lab SOPs
  • Daily 5S audits
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or related field
  • 3-5 years lab testing experience with supervisory role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Busway/switchgear testing experience
  • In-depth knowledge of UL857 thermal testing
  • Bilingual English/Spanish capabilities

 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Position requires extended periods of standing and ability to handle heavy equipment using appropriate PPE and tools.
