Reporting to the Market Manager, the Product Specialist is accountable for managing elements of pricing strategy, working capital, and customer satisfaction programs, among other responsibilities. The Product Specialist will work cross-functionally with Sales, Supply Chain, Engineering, Procurement, and other Business Team members. Responsibilities include monitoring the performance of assigned product lines, taking action to achieve sales goals, operating profit, working capital plan, and recommending alternative strategies or tactics to improve product line performance.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Product Specialist you will support for the business activities related to the Lighting, Generator and Copper PV markets across North America to ensure the success and growth of the business
Pricing & Quoting: Coordinate quotation activity, perform pricing analysis to maximize profitability, coordinate with outside sales on strategic pricing management for assigned customer base and process quotes in collaboration with Sales and Engineering. Responsibility for system price sheets and product attributes system infrastructure.
Inventory Management: Work with supply chain teams to manage surplus and slow-moving inventory.
Forecasting & Reporting: Help support monthly product group forecasts for volume, revenue, and margins, while monitoring KPIs.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Update product details within Prysmian's ERP systems and manage customer complaints to identify improvement trends.
Market Support: Research business development opportunities and represent the product team in meetings on behalf of the Market Manager
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required.
Ability to work independently and demonstrate a self-starter mindset.
Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills with commercial acumen.
Strong presentation skills with the ability to work effectively with customers and account teams.
Ability to prioritize work, meet schedules, and determine effective approaches in varying business situations and environments.
Ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Supply Chain, Engineering, Procurement, and other business stakeholders.
Experience working in a collaborative team environment.
Experience supporting pricing, quoting, forecasting, inventory management, or customer-facing business activities.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of ERP systems such as HFA or SAP preferred.
Experience in a similar Pricing Analyst, Data Analyst, Product Specialist or Sales Support role preferred.
