JOB SUMMARY:

Ensure all existing and new products comply with regulatory requirements and company standards. This includes maintaining, reviewing, and creating product labels for nutrition and ingredient requirements for snack foods manufactured by Rudolph Foods Company.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and Update Documentation: Create and revise nutritional documentation for all products.
  • Regulatory Review: Ensure product packaging complies with USDA and FDA regulations.
  • Label Approval: Submit and maintain USDA label approval documentation.
  • Compliance Audits: Conduct regular audits to ensure products and ingredients meet federal, state, and internal standards.
  • Process Improvement: Review and implement processes to ensure label accuracy and compliance.
  • Regulatory Awareness: Stay informed about new and upcoming state and federal regulatory requirements.
  • Industry Participation: Engage in industry trade groups and working groups focused on labeling and regulatory compliance.
  • Market Research: Investigate industry trends and market preferences for product labeling.
  • Customer Support: Assist external customers and manage systems to provide accurate labeling information.
  • Certification Coordination: Work with suppliers and third-party agencies to obtain and maintain label certifications (e.g., Gluten-Free, Kosher, Non-GMO).
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate with Marketing, Product Development, and Food Safety & Quality teams to ensure compliance.
  • Additional Duties: Perform any other tasks assigned by the Supervisor.

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Required:

  • Degree: Associates Degree
  • Experience: Two years of related experience and/or training
  • Consideration will be given to holders of Associate Degree / High School Diploma candidates with four or more years of related experience.

 

Preferred:

  • Degree: Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience: Two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Software ExperiencePreferred experience with food labeling and spec management software.
  • Certification Processes: Preferred experience with various certification processes, such as organic, kosher, gluten-free, and Non-GMO.

  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Ability to read and interpret legal regulations. 
  • Language, mathematical, and reasoning: Possess strong language skills, including reading and interpreting technical documents, responding to inquiries, writing for publication, and presenting information. Have solid mathematical abilities, such as calculating various figures and applying basic algebra and geometry. Excel in reasoning, solving practical problems, and interpreting diverse instructions.
