POSITION SUMMARY
- The Product Manager – Liquid Cooling (Americas) is responsible for providing offering management leadership to drive growth, adoption, and profitability of Vertiv’s liquid cooling portfolio across the Americas region. This primarily includes Coolant Distribution Units (CDUs/XDUs), direct-to-chip liquid cooling, fluid distribution systems, and emerging high-density cooling technologies supporting AI, HPC, and next-generation data center applications. This role reports directly to the Sr. Director, Product Management – Thermal. This role is accountable for defining and executing liquid cooling strategies specific to the Americas market, ensuring alignment with regional customer requirements, regulatory considerations, and go-to-market needs. The Product Manager will own the Americas liquid cooling portfolio, leading regional offerings and driving adoption across hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise customers. This includes identifying growth opportunities, managing regional product investments, and driving value engineering (VAVE) and cost optimization initiatives tailored to the Americas. The role requires strong collaboration with regional sales teams, customers, engineering, and operations to develop market insights, define product requirements, and execute through the New Product Development (NPD) Stage Gate process.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead product lifecycle management for liquid cooling offerings in the Americas, including new product introductions, regional variants, engineered-to-order (ETO) solutions, and end-of-life transitions.
- Define and execute Americas-specific strategy for liquid cooling solutions, including CDUs/XDUs, rack-level distribution, and fluid management systems.
- Identify and drive regional growth opportunities, including increasing adoption and attach of liquid cooling solutions within customer deployments.
- Develop and maintain business cases and strategic planning for Americas-focused product investments, including new offerings and enhancements.
- Drive product line profitability within the Americas through VAVE, cost reduction, and design optimization.
- Analyze Americas market trends, including AI workload growth, increasing rack densities, and sustainability requirements.
- Translate regional customer needs into clear product requirements and roadmap priorities.
- Ensure all customer-facing documentation, specifications, and marketing collateral are accurate and aligned with Americas requirements.
- Support key customer engagements and technical discussions, particularly for complex liquid cooling deployments.
- Develop and deliver sales enablement tools and training for Americas sales teams and partners.
- Track and report Americas performance metrics, including revenue, adoption rates, and pipeline growth.
- Manage regional pricing strategy, competitive positioning, and discount structures.
- Forecast volume and revenue for the Americas liquid cooling portfolio.
- Lead resolution of regional product issues (delivery, quality, supply chain, field performance).
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical degree. Business experience preferred.
- 8-10 years of experience in product management, thermal systems, or data center infrastructure, with strong preference for liquid cooling technologies.
- Direct experience with liquid cooling solutions (CDUs/XDUs, direct-to-chip, immersion, or fluid systems) strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of the Americas data center market, including hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise segments.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a regional product portfolio and drive market adoption.
- Proven ability to collaborate across sales, engineering, and operations teams within a regional structure.
- Strong analytical, financial, and market assessment skills.
- Results-driven with strong execution and project management capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, and related business tools.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and commercial stakeholders.
