Position Summary

The Product Manager develops and executes product strategies that drive profitable growth across Pulsafeeder's engineered pump portfolio, including Diaphragm and Rotary Gear product lines. This role leads product lifecycle management, market positioning, pricing strategy, portfolio optimization, and new product development initiatives while supporting a project-driven business environment. Working closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations, and customers, the Product Manager serves as the voice of the market, identifies growth opportunities, supports complex customer applications, and ensures products meet evolving industry requirements. Reporting to the Business Line Leader, this position plays a key role in driving innovation, market share growth, and long-term business success.

Essential Functions

  • Manage the Diaphragm and Rotary Gear product portfolios and their lifecycle strategy.

  • Develop and execute growth strategies that increase revenue, profitability, and market share.

  • Drive portfolio planning, product enhancements, new product introductions, and product rationalization activities.

  • Partner with Engineering to define product requirements, prioritize development projects, and execute product roadmaps.

  • Support project-based sales opportunities by providing market expertise, application knowledge, and product guidance.

  • Analyze customer requirements, market trends, competitive activity, and emerging technologies to identify growth opportunities.

  • Develop pricing strategies and business cases that maximize value while maintaining competitiveness.

  • Collaborate with Sales and Distributor Partners to support specification opportunities and strategic customer projects.

  • Monitor product line financial performance and implement actions to achieve revenue and margin objectives.

  • Conduct competitive analysis, market assessments, and voice-of-customer activities to support strategic decision-making.

  • Forecast product demand and support annual operating plans and growth initiatives.

  • Develop product positioning, sales tools, training materials, and customer-facing content.

  • Present product strategy, market insights, and business performance updates to leadership.

  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver successful product launches and strategic initiatives.

  • Travel up to 25% to support customers, distributors, trade shows, and market research activities.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related technical discipline required; MBA preferred.

  • Five or more years of product management experience within engineered products, industrial equipment, fluid handling, pumps, process equipment, or related manufacturing industries.

  • Experience supporting project-based or engineered-to-order products preferred.

  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, market analysis, pricing strategy, and commercialization processes.

  • Experience collaborating with Engineering on new product development and technical product roadmaps.

  • Proven success driving product growth in industrial B2B markets.

  • Experience working with distributors, OEMs, EPC firms, integrators, or industrial end users preferred.

  • Ability to analyze technical, financial, market, and customer data to drive business decisions.

  • Strong analytical, presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a project-based environment.

  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Office Environment

This position operates in a manufacturing office setting and involves regular use of standard office equipment. The role requires the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while performing computer-based tasks. The employee will occasionally move about the office or nearby production areas to access equipment, attend meetings, or communicate with team members. The individual must be able to communicate effectively with coworkers and external parties in person, over the phone, and through digital platforms. Total Rewards

The compensation range for this position is $99,800.00 - $149,600.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
