Need CAD experience and some prior product development experience; doesn’t have to be sheet metal but coming from manufacturing environment doing product design; if they already have a Master Degree but still need some hands-on practical experience; shadowing a more senior person for guidance before they are cut loose to do smaller projects on their own; then advancing on to larger DTV efforts; DTV will be the focus but there is significant amount of overlap with new product development;
We are looking for a New Product Development / Design to Value (NPD/DTV) Engineer to be responsible for the development of refrigerated merchandisers, as well as cost reduction efforts on the existing product lines.
**What you will be responsible for in this role:

Apply value engineering methodologies to optimize cost position on existing products.
Collaborate with Strategic Sourcing and Manufacturing Engineering to implement cost saving projects.
Manage the DTV project from concept to completion, including scheduling and cross functional communication
Brainstorm new and innovative solutions to achieve the product standardization and modularity.
Develop CAD solid models and engineering simulation of proposed concepts.
Collaborate with Product Management to validate the solution with the customer.
Develop a test plan and work with the Engineering Lab to validate the solution.
Conduct field tests to validate the solution.
Ability to manage multiple projects, demonstrates capability to solve difficult and complex problems

Experience with product design and solid modeling in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in refrigeration, air conditioning, dehumidifier, sealed-system, airflow thermal management, or similar, design theory and application
Experience in practical application of Six Sigma and Lean tools
