Position Summary
We are seeking a Senior Engineer, Product Engineering (CPE) to support released products throughout their lifecycle within our Data Center Fluid Conveyance business. This role focuses on resolving product and manufacturing issues, driving engineering changes, improving product reliability, supporting qualification and compliance activities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, reliable products.
The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical engineering background with experience supporting production products, leading technical investigations, and implementing continuous product improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead engineering support activities for released Quick Disconnect Couplings (QDCs), connectors, adapters, manifolds, and fluid conveyance products.
- Investigate product, manufacturing, supplier, quality, and customer issues using structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, Root Cause Analysis, and DFSS.
- Lead engineering change activities including ECR/ECO/ECN, product improvements, cost reduction initiatives, alternate material evaluations, and supplier changes.
- Analyze test data, field performance, production feedback, and customer requirements to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and review engineering documentation including drawings, specifications, engineering reports, test plans, risk assessments, and qualification records.
- Support qualification maintenance, compliance documentation, certification activities, and reliability improvements.
- Plan and coordinate testing related to pressure, leak performance, flow, durability, cleanliness, sealing, compatibility, and product reliability.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Operations, Product Management, Sales, suppliers, and customers to resolve technical issues.
- Participate in New Product Development (NPD) design reviews by providing lessons learned from current production products.
- Maintain accurate engineering documentation, technical traceability, and product history.
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians while promoting engineering best practices.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and engineering processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Design, Product Support, or Current Product Engineering.
- Experience supporting released mechanical products in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of engineering change management (ECR, ECO, ECN).
- Experience with structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, Root Cause Analysis, DFMEA, PFMEA, FRACAS, Lean, or Six Sigma.
- Experience reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
