Join the dynamic team at Pace Industries, as the Product Engineer at our Corporate Headquarters in Novi, Michigan. We are seeking an innovative and collaborative individual with a proven track record of developing, programming and implementing tooling projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for using solid works, auto CAD, reviewing blueprints and interfacing with customers. The role reports to the Director of Product Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interface with customers on specific tooling projects (new tooling, revising and repairing existing tooling, etc.)
  • Coordinate with tool and die shops the implementation of these projects.
  • Interact with other Pace internal departments on a variety of tasks.
  • Maintain and distribute Blueprints.
  • Utilize various computer software programs (Solid Works, Pro-E, Auto CAD) in the course of performing these engineering duties.
  • Responsible for the status of customer-owned tooling located at this facility.
  • Follow the requirements of the Quality Policy, ISO/TS system, and procedures.
  • Follow all safety policies but not limited to PPE, Lockout/Tagout, machinery guards, safe lifting, etc.
  • Report any safety hazards to the Shift Superintendent or Management.
  • Report all accidents and/or near-misses whether they are major or minor in nature.
  • Follow the Pace Industries employee policies as stated in the Associate Handbook.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering field or a related science discipline
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
