We are seeking a Mechanical Product Development Engineer to join a growing engineering team supporting the development of advanced power-generation and mechanical systems. This is a hands-on product development opportunity where you will be involved in mechanical design, system integration, testing, validation, and commercialization of new products.
This is a direct-hire, first-shift opportunity with a well-established global manufacturer offering strong benefits, long-term stability, and significant exposure to new product development.
Support the design and development of mechanical systems and components from initial concept through production
Work with oil and lubrication systems involving fluid flow, filtration, thermal management, and mechanical components
Create and modify component designs using CAD software
Support prototype builds, engineering testing, and product validation
Analyze test results and help troubleshoot mechanical performance issues
Assist with system-level integration across multiple engineering disciplines
Develop engineering specifications, test plans, risk assessments, and validation documentation
Participate in DFMEA, DVPR, design reviews, and root-cause investigations
Work with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve product performance, reliability, and durability
Utilize engineering fundamentals including fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, stress, and mechanical systems
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline
1–3+ years of mechanical engineering, product development, design, or related experience
Experience using CAD/design software such as Creo/ProE, SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA, or similar
Strong understanding of mechanical systems and mechanical design principles
Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and testing teams
Product development, R&D, or new product introduction experience
Mechanical product testing or validation
FEA or engineering simulation experience
Fluid systems, lubrication systems, pumps, filtration, thermal systems, engines, turbines, or rotating equipment
Experience with instrumentation such as pressure sensors, temperature sensors, flow meters, or vibration measurement equipment
This is a great opportunity for a mechanical engineer who wants to move beyond basic design work and gain experience throughout the entire product-development lifecycle. You'll work on technically challenging systems while gaining exposure to design, prototyping, testing, validation, and commercialization.
