The Boeing CompanyBoeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Supply Chain Operations Manager to join our Systems team in Everett, WA.
The Supply Chain Operations Manager leads a team responsible for supplier portfolio management, on time project execution, rate readiness, and performance of build and delivery activities for Boeing airplane programs. The team assures that these suppliers are adequately staffed and have the engineering, design, qualification, and production capacity to execute all Boeing requirements and follow-on production programs with on-time delivery to the Boeing production system while meeting all certification and quality requirements.

Responsibilities:
Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier-related activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements
Manage employees from multiple Supplier Management and Procurement disciplines performing activities related to the acquisition of goods and services in support of company operations, supplier assessment and performance improvement, management and improvement of supply chain management and processes and small business subcontracting
Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
Provides oversight regarding negotiation processes and related tools
Manages, develops and motivates employees
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site at one of the listed location options.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):
5+ years of experience with Supplier Management, Supply Chain and/or Procurement practices and processes
3+ years of experience leading or managing projects and/or teams
3+ years of experience as a proven leader with strong interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills
Able to travel domestically and internationally 10%
Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership"
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):
Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Degree
3+ years of experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services
Proven ability to execute commitments
Experience utilizing strategic decision making and supply chain metrics to drive business results
