POSITION SCOPE Associates are required to set-up, document, and monitor die casting to verify process and ensure the production of quality parts. Follow and adhere to safety regulations regarding the safe operation of die casting and trimming equipment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES - Read, comprehend, and follow written, standardized work instructions and trained procedures to perform any die casting and/or trim machine operation.
- Assist in the machine process parameters at initial set up and during production runs, as required.
- Ability to understand and react to shot monitoring equipment.
- Is capable of diagnosing and performing minor repairs on die cast and trim press machines and robot gripper systems.
- Is capable of making and recommending process adjustments to improve productivity and quality.
- Is capable of repairing water, hot oil, and minor hydraulic leaks on die.
- Is able to load robot programs and make adjustments as needed.
- Maneuver through Panel View on auto trim presses.
- Set ladle and reset ladle programs per documented process.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot die cast defects.
- Assist in die set ups.
- Assist with machine operation during associate breaks and lunches.
- Visually inspect for defects following established procedures.
- Accurately enter data into work order and quality systems.
- Detects and reports improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to proper supervisor.
- Learn new tasks and adapt to frequent job duty changes which includes cross training and working on multiple machines as required by business and manpower demands.
- Properly completes daily paperwork.
- Maintain clean and orderly work area consistent with safety and work rules and regulations.
- Work safely around and/or while operating heaving equipment or manufacturing machinery.
- Work overtime hours as required and be available for emergency overtime when the need arises.
- Regularly report for work on time with a desire to perform to the best of your abilities.
- Comply with all company employment policies, procedures/processes, and programs. Performs duties in compliance quality, as well as safety policies, procedures/processes, and programs.

CERTIFICATION, EDUCATION, and WORK EXPERIENCE: - Knowledge of basic math, reading, and writing.
- High School Diploma preferred.
- Basic computer skills.
- Forklift required.
- Crane & Hoist required.
- Knowledge and certification of lockout tagout procedures.
- Knowledge of shot monitoring systems.
- Knowledge on use of measuring equipment (tape measures, calipers, etc.).

PHYSICAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Please note: Continuously (80%-100%), Frequently (21%-79%), Occasionally (up to 20%) - Possess good physical stamina and coordination. Specific physical requirements of the position include the ability to continuously and repetitively:
- Walk and stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Read standardized work instructions, operate machines and tools, and perform quality inspections.
- Promptly detect and respond to visual and auditory safety instructions, alarms, and signals.
- Wear personal protective equipment, for example: safety glasses, gloves, hats, ear plugs, and steel-toed safety shoes.
- Work in a loud manufacturing environment that is not climate controlled (conditions can be hot or cold).
- Bend, push, pull, twist, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach to perform work.
- Use hand positioning to grip/grasp parts and a wide range of power and vibrating tools or other equipment.
