Process Technician (3rd Shift) - New Baltimore, Michigan
Contract-to-Hire Role - 3rd Shift
Pay Rate: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour (based on proven work history)
THIRD SHIFT: 10:45pm - 7:15am Monday - Friday
Job Summary of the Process Technician (3rd Shift):
Monitor molding activities on the production floor while maintaining a high floor presence. Initiate action to ensure quality levels are maintained and continuously improved. Assist with the establishment of job standards and systems for optimum efficiency and profitability. Analyze and react to job (and overall plant) efficiency labor and throughput. Support the efforts of other departments within the company to contribute a true "team" concept.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Process Technician (3rd Shift): - Monitor/improve molding processes ensuring repeatability and high-quality standards. Priority starts with the Top 10 Constraints
- Maintain a heavy floor presence and work closely with Lead Supervisor and Process Engineer assisting with any molding/processing that may arise
- Assist in the developing robust processes utilizing the scientific molding approach with supporting documentation when needed
- Document the process utilizing the PVs and Water Diagram documentation when necessary
- Support engineering try outs in the plant as required
- Develop Workshops targeting problematic areas reflected in the weekly, monthly measurable report out
- May be required to cover off shifts when fellow process technicians are not present for their respective shift
- Maintain Process Verification Sheets and update accordingly ensuring that all paperwork and procedures are accurate and legible and in full compliance of the production facility's standards
- Routinely evaluate the condition of the EOAT mold and machine repairing/improving when necessary
- Assist production with plant start-up when necessary
- Assist in proper housekeeping and Health & Safety standards in respect of all processes and equipment following the 5S discipline
- Maintain equipment and processes to a very high standard of efficiency and safety
- Performs all duties in accordance to corporate standards and ISO/IATF requirements
- Assist in the development and continuous improvement of operations in the plant and quality systems
- Follow company policies and procedures for the operation of forklifts, overhead cranes, and lock-out/tag-out procedure in accordance with Federal and State OSHA regulations
- Maintains an appropriate level of conventionality and conformance regarding the corporate culture. Relates well with others, including as appropriate, peers, supervisors, subordinates, customers, and suppliers while maintaining good attendance. Assumes appropriate role(s) when working in a team environment. Respond appropriately to unexpected and/or continuing situations, while develop in the work environment

Requirements of the Process Technician (3rd Shift): - High School diploma or equivalent required
- At least of two (2) to four (4) years of related experience and training
- Analytical skills
- Ability to work well in a team
- Thorough understanding of plastic injection molding production equipment
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions in English
- Must be able to successfully complete training and maintain a license/certification for forklift and overhead crane use along with lock-out/tag-out procedures in accordance to company policies and Federal and State OSHA regulations
- Understanding of the ability to abide by applicable Federal and State OSHA regulations along with maintaining ISO and IATF requirements
