Process Technician

Position Summary

The Process Technician is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and improving manufacturing processes within the automotive production environment. This role ensures that equipment, tooling, and processes operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality standards to meet production goals. The Process Technician will support problem-solving activities, assist with process improvements, and provide technical support to operators and maintenance personnel.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, adjust, and monitor production machinery, tooling, and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot process issues related to equipment, tooling, or materials and implement corrective actions.
  • Support root cause analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma).
  • Maintain and update process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
  • Conduct process audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and production standards.
  • Work closely with engineering and maintenance teams to implement new equipment, tooling, or process changes.
  • Train operators and production staff on proper machine setup, operation, and troubleshooting.
  • Analyze production data, downtime, and scrap rates to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Adhere to and promote all health, safety, and environmental regulations within the facility.

 

 

 

Qualifications


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or technical certification in manufacturing, mechanical, or industrial technology preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in a process technician, machine technician, or similar role in an automotive or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of manufacturing equipment, robotics, and automated systems.
