Job Description:
The Process Technician is responsible for:
- Decisions concerning troubleshooting and material.
- Ensuring production parts meet or exceed the Quality approved samples and customer guidelines.
- Overseeing the activities of the Supervisor and Assistant Supervisor.
- Maintaining machine efficiencies, utilization, and scrap according to written and known standards.
- Reporting needed maintenance or repairs for production and departmental equipment.
- Troubleshoot process problems to minimize machine downtime and scrap.
- Support companywide quality improvement efforts.
- Analyze and develop techniques to improve processes.
- Make recommendations to improve safety, housekeeping, and machine utilization.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and training
- The Process Technician must be able to read and write English.
- The Process Technician should have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Additional secondary business courses are a plus but not required.
- Must have hands on experience in mold set up and skills related to the Structural Foam Molding Industry.
- Knowledge of Robotics.
- Knowledge of various material types.
Managerial Requirements
One to Five years of experience in production related activities and supervision of personnel in the Plastics Industry.
