Set up, start up, troubleshoot, and optimize injection molding processes to support safe, efficient, and repeatable production.
Identify and resolve molding defects such as flash, short shots, burns, splay, sink, voids, dimensional variation, contamination, gate issues, and cosmetic defects.
Apply advanced knowledge of molds, tooling construction, mold alignment, parting lines, venting, gate conditions, ejector systems, and wear-related tooling issues.
Troubleshoot hot runner systems, including heaters, thermocouples, nozzles, manifolds, temperature controllers, wiring, connector issues, and related process symptoms.
Work with process engineering, tooling, maintenance, and quality teams to determine root cause and implement practical corrective actions.
Support mold trials, process development, process transfers, and production start-ups for new or existing molded components.
High school diploma or equivalent.
RJG Master Molder I certification.
Minimum 2 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Injection molding process for thermoplastics
Knowledge of practical use of Scientific Process Development Principles.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically word and excel.
Preferred:
2-year degree in engineering or related field
Experience working in Cleanroom environment
Experience working medical device manufacturing industry
