We are seeking a Process Safety Engineer to join our Colors team that will lead and execute the process safety management strategy to minimize risk and enhance process safety practices at the facility. Act as the primary driver for process safety initiatives, ensuring compliance and managing safety standards, audits, and training. Collaborate with EHS, Operations, and external stakeholders to address process safety concerns and ensure effective incident management.

What you will do:

• Coordinate and oversee Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs), Dust Hazard Analysis (DHAs) and corrective action resolutions from audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
• Lead and manage incident investigations related to process safety events and develop corrective actions.
• Develop and implement facility-specific process safety standards, policies, procedures, and training programs.
• Manage process safety metrics, audits, and controls to improve safety performance.
• Act as a liaison for process safety-related compliance with government officials and support emergency preparedness and response efforts.

What you’ll bring:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Environmental Health and Safety or a related technical field.
• At least two years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with a direct experience dealing with process safety management issues in a chemical manufacturing or similar environment.
• Specialized training in hazardous materials management, combustible dust management, PHA facilitation, OSHA’s PSM standard, and EPA’s RMP standard (preferred).
• Exceptional analytical skills with a proven ability to investigate and solve problems by identifying root causes and developing effective solutions.
