About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled Process Engineering Technician to provide basic technical support to the Manufacturing and Process Engineering teams. The qualified candidate will assist with equipment setup and Design of Experiments under the direction of the process engineers. This position supports production, product, and process development activities in an electronic manufacturing environment.
Work Schedule:
- 4-day/10-hour work week.
- Shift 1: Monday - Thursday, 5:30 AM – 4:00 PM.
- Shift 2: Monday - Thursday, 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM; Shift 2 includes a shift differential of $1.50.
- Overtime may be required on Fridays and Saturdays.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the setup and execution of basic engineering tests or process trials.
- Support, set up, and maintain manufacturing equipment.
- Resolve issues with equipment, perform routine preventative maintenance and troubleshooting to maintain equipment, and conduct minor repairs.
- Monitor manufacturing processes and identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Prepare prototypes, fixtures, or materials for engineering evaluations.
- Provide support to production as needed: troubleshooting machine issues, program issues, and fixing equipment.
- Follow all safety and ESD protocols.
- Perform other duties or support other areas as needed based on business requirements or production flow.
- Must be U.S. persons within the definition of ITAR, with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or technical certification in mechanical or manufacturing engineering.
- Basic understanding of electronics or mechanical assembly.
- Experience with basic tasks such as soldering, wiring, and operating machine tools to create components.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
- Previous experience supporting engineering or manufacturing teams.
- Exposure to ISO 9001, AS9100, or ISO 13485 standards.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2-4 years of experience working in manufacturing.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to follow written instructions and document findings accurately.
- Willingness to learn technical processes and tools.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English to interpret work instructions, documentation, and safety requirements.
- Strong collaborative skills in a team environment.
Key Metrics and Focus Areas:
- Accuracy and completeness of documentation support.
- Timeliness of task completion for engineering requests.
- Adherence to safety and procedural compliance.
Physical Requirements:
- Lift and handle small tools, materials, or fixtures up to 50 lbs.
- Sit or stand for extended periods while supporting lab or floor activities.
- Manual dexterity for assembling, inspecting, or modifying components.
- Work in manufacturing environments with supervision.

Compensation: This is a non-exempt position. Compensation may be based on experience, qualifications, and skillset in the electronic manufacturing industry.
