Process Engineering Manager

Performs design, development and analysis of engineering/operations processes. Leads group of technical employees to obtain optimum utilization of assigned processes while driving process efficiency, improved quality and safety with a focus on overall plant productivity. Reviews and analyzes proposals and determine if benefits derived and possible applications justify expenditures. Determines engineering feasibility and cost effectiveness. Acts as a project manager on complex projects initiating, planning scheduling and coordinating the overall project and design. Approves and submits to management proposals considered feasible for consideration and participates in capital planning process to establish manufacturing/process priorities. Evaluates product, equipment-related components and vendors. Develops and implements methods and procedures for monitoring projects such as preparation of records of expenditures and research findings, progress reports, and staff conferences, in order to inform management of current status of each project. Establishes manufacturing standards and practices in Continuous process improvement & preventive maintenance. In conjunction with Quality personnel, is responsible for quality control throughout assigned processes, including training, evaluation methods, containment and problem solving. Ensures process control through use of Advanced Product Quality Planning Concepts (Key Characteristics, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Quality/Process checklists). Develops, establishes and owns necessary process control documentation. Ensures that proper safety and preventive maintenance procedures are established and maintained.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.

Five (5) years of progressive engineering experience supporting high volume manufacturing operations in the improvement of job safety and ergonomics, scrap reduction and product quality improvements, product cost reductions and process efficiencies, and On-Time to customer metrics with direct supervision experience managing engineers and technical staff.

Additional experience must include:

  • Leading engineering teams in process and product productivity campaigns removing labor, process inefficiencies, and improving product quality to generate over $1 million per year

  • Using PTC Creo and Windchill and training others to use the software.

  • Using AS400 to develop actionable data for process improvement.

  • Using Mfg. PRO software for workflow and routing management

  • Using AutoCAD 2024 and training others to use the software.

  • Implementing Pro-Link QC Gage & QC Calc for the development of SPC and live inspection reports in a high-volume machining environment

  • CMM Program optimization of AIMS MODUS and Mitutoyo MCOSMOS

  • AIAG APQP workbook & toolkit

  • Using AMMS to develop actionable data for process improvement.

Annual Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000
