The Process Engineer |Training Coordinator will develop and conduct training programs for employees throughout the organization. Process Engineer |Training Coordinator is responsible for creating instructional materials for the training - both written and visual, and an online library of training resources.  Work with department heads to identify specific needs and then seek or develop pertinent materials. An effective Process Engineer |Training Coordinator will serve as an intermediary between trainers and learners, overseeing arrangements and timetables and guaranteeing seamless program implementation. 

What you’ll do as a Process Engineer |Training Coordinator:

  • Establish, refine, and develop the training program, including written and visual procedures for all plant employees across all shifts.
  • Establish program in conjunction with current lead operators, supervisors, manager, and quality leadership.
  • Set expectations of all selected parties (supervisors, trainers, new employees) to ensure consistency in training.
  • Develop a training matrix by role for all new employees to follow.
  • Matrix includes, not only procedural (including fail safes), but safety related training.
  • With area leadership, develops the pre-requisites for promotion by level, including training, attendance, and behavior.
  • Develops metrics to evaluate training effectiveness; modifies training content or delivery method to meet training objectives.
  • Compiles reports to management of training statistics with recommendations for successful training activities.
  • Establishes and maintains effective work relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Manage through the training approvals in conjunction with the supervisors (quality and operations).
  • Evaluate current production methods and procedures to determine areas for improvement.
  • Monitor process/procedure changes and ensure we purge old and replace with new. 
  • Routinely audit training process across all shifts, ensure trainers are effective as trainers.
  • Turn operational failures into opportunities through root cause analysis, develop or refine procedures and training manuals to plug holes eliminating future failures for same issue.   
  • Ability to communicate and work well with people from all levels of the organization; instruct and direct in a firm, fair and consistent manner.

We’re looking for a Process Engineer |Training Coordinator with:

  • Bachelor’s degree in operations management or engineering preferred
  • 5 years of relevant work experience. 
  • Experience creating, developing and implementing training programs.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.  
  • Knowledge and understanding of Inventory systems.
  • SAP knowledge preferred.

 Physical requirements and working conditions:

Our manufacturing Plant is comprised of enclosed office and manufacturing space. This position requires the ability to:

  • Physical exertion required in lifting, bending, pushing and pulling.  
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Ability to manipulate objects and use various measurement tools. 
  • Working in a manufacturing environment while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment, ear plugs and safety shoes.
  • Sitting at workstation approximately 50 percent, standing and walking approximately 50 percent of work time.
  • Ability and flexibility to regularly work across all production shifts, supporting training of the 24/7 operation.
  • Ability to work overtime or occasionally on weekends with short notice.
  • This Process Engineer |Training Coordinator position is located on-site in Erlanger, KY facility.
