Job Description

The primary role of the Process Engineer is to enhance gear design and manufacturing processes to boost efficiency and profitability. This includes creating or refining processes, providing cost estimates, and recommending improvements to optimize gear production. Responsibilities involve preparing production designs, calculating cost estimates, analyzing current workflows, and configuring manufacturing systems to minimize costs, enhance sustainability, and implement best practices throughout the production process.

**Responsibilities and Daily Tasks:**

- Design and prepare gear specifications for production.

- Generate cost estimates for both new and existing business opportunities.

- Assess and enhance manufacturing processes and systems.

- Maintain reliable and safe production systems while improving output rates, efficiency, yield, cost-effectiveness, and setup times.

- Develop innovative approaches to solve manufacturing challenges.

- Enhance process capability and production capacity while upholding and improving quality standards.

- Create and implement systems to optimize all stages of the production process.

- Contribute insights and recommendations during incident investigations.

- Provide guidance on corrective actions to resolve issues.

- Collaborate with equipment designers and manufacturing personnel to create efficient and cost-effective production workflows.

- Ensure timely completion of projects to meet deadlines.

****Qualifications:****

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical Engineering (BSME), or equivalent work experience.

- Experience:

- Previous experience as a Gear Process Engineer is preferred.

- Hands-on experience with CAD software, particularly SolidWorks, is highly desirable.

- Familiarity with machining processes is advantageous.

- Prior experience in quoting and cost estimation is preferred.
