We are seeking a Process Engineer to support the ramp-up of production on our 2nd shift. This role is critical in ensuring manufacturing processes are efficient, scalable, and capable of meeting increased demand while maintaining high quality standards.

You’ll work cross-functionally with production, quality, and design teams to implement, stabilize, and continuously improve manufacturing processes in a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the launch and ramp-up of production on 2nd shift by establishing and optimizing manufacturing processes
  • Develop and maintain assembly instructions, process documentation, and workmanship standards
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, productivity, and cost efficiency
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for manufacturing issues (process, equipment, or programming)
  • Collaborate with production planning to ensure all jobs have proper documentation, tooling, and programming ready for execution
  • Provide and analyze manufacturing data to track performance against production targets
  • Partner with Design Engineering on DFX initiatives:
    • Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
    • Design for Assembly (DFA)
    • Design for Cost and Test
  • Support supplier interactions related to manufacturing processes and improvements
  • Research and recommend new technologies and equipment to increase capacity and efficiency
  • Assist with programming manufacturing and inspection equipment
  • Ensure adherence to company quality systems and team member standards

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with 2+ years of experience, OR
  • Associate degree with 4+ years of experience, OR
  • High school diploma with 6+ years of relevant manufacturing experience
  • Experience in electronics or electromechanical manufacturing required
  • Experience working in a regulated quality environment (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or AS9100 preferred)

 

Skills & Knowledge

  • Knowledge of circuit card assembly (CCA) processes
  • Familiarity with IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 standards
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and Design of Experiments (DOE)
  • Strong technical writing and documentation skills
  • Ability to analyze data and present findings using charts/graphs
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking abilities
  • Effective communication skills across all levels of the organization
