Aegis Worldwide is partnered with a plastics packaging manufacturer near Raleigh, NC who is looking to add a Process Engineer to their team. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivatedProcess Engineerwith a strong background inplastics manufacturing, specifically ininjection molding OR blow moldingprocesses. This role is responsible for optimizing processing parameters, developing tooling solutions, and driving continuous improvement efforts across our molding operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience inplastics processing, mold tooling design, troubleshooting, and process validation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, optimize, and documentplastic molding processesfor new and existing products.
  • Troubleshoot molding issues related to material flow, cycle times, part defects, and tooling wear.
  • Collaborate with design, quality, and tooling teams to evaluate and improvemold design and performance.
  • Establish and maintainrobust process windowsand standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Lead efforts inDOE (Design of Experiments), process capability studies, and root cause analysis for quality and yield improvements.
  • Participate in tooling trials, mold commissioning, and process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ).
  • Support preventive maintenance plans and tooling refurbishment programs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements in materials, equipment, and processes to support lean manufacturing and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Provide technical training to operators and technicians as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degreein Engineering (preferred). Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Minimum3-5 years of experiencein a plastics manufacturing environment with a focus oninjection molding or blow molding.
  • Strong knowledge ofplastic resins, mold design, and processing parameters.
  • Experience withtooling design, mold flow analysis, and part/tooling validation.
  • Familiarity withscientific molding techniques, SPC, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
