Job Overview:

About the Role

UTEX is seeking a Process Engineer to join our team! This role is responsible for evaluating and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve performance, quality, and efficiency across our operations. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who thrives on continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently develop and optimize manufacturing processes

  • Define and implement process variables, measurements, and controls

  • Write and revise process standard operating procedures (SOPs)

  • Train operators and quality technicians on new and existing processes

  • Apply Lean manufacturing tools to improve efficiency and product quality

  • Collaborate with Chief Engineers and Product Engineers on new product development

  • Research and implement innovative manufacturing process capabilities

  • Manage process stability and continuously improve First-Pass Yield

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

  • 3+ years of experience in process engineering or a related field

  • Proven experience managing manufacturing processes

  • Strong skills in process design and improvement

  • Proficiency in Lean manufacturing and quality control methodologies

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Combination of office and manufacturing environments

  • Moderate walking, climbing, and lifting (up to 50 lbs)

  • Must be able to conduct inspections and carry related equipment

  • Regular, predictable attendance required

Travel

Up to 50% travel required
