Based in our Marshalltown, Iowa location, you will provide a manufacturing support interface with Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to address potential manufacturability issues related to machining. You will also support the development and qualifications of new procedures and processes.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Support and promote a strong safety culture.
- Responsible to support the achievement of the following critical success factors: Safety, Quality, Delivery/Lead-time Cost/Inventory Management and Cost of Quality.
- Support the development and qualification of new procedures and processes.
- Provide a manufacturing support interface with Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to address potential manufacturability issues.
- Lean Implementation – Responsible for supporting the implementation of Lean in processes as appropriate.
- Understand the principles and support the reduction in the cost of quality (COQ).
- Drive Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE):
- Quality
- Analyze data and implement Root-Cause solutions to improve processes and personnel driven nonconformance’s.
- Productivity
- Identify and Facilitate Implementation of process improvements.
- Coordinate and connect with all levels of the organization (formal and informal presentations).
- Develop Best Practices and Procedures; communicate these to employees through Visual Workplace, Formal Training, and Area meetings.
- Participate in the development of capital plans, support Appropriation Requests and the implementation of new capital technology to improve manufacturing processes and the reduction of nonconformance’s.
- Delivery – Assist in coordination of production and quality activities to support Customer expectations.
- Cost reduction – Responsible for identifying and implementing annual cost reductions.
- Productivity - Identify and Facilitate Implementation of process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Bachelor's Degree in Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology, or similar field of study.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- Strong, hands-on experience from an internship, Cooperative education experience (CO-OP), or a project-based academic assignment lasting at least six months. Building on a validated blend of education and experience is a shown success plan.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
