We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented
process engineer
to join our team. As a process engineer, you will play a crucial role in improving and optimizing our manufacturing processes specifically for the Post Cast processes (e.g. mold knock-out, abrasive cutting, rough finishing, sand blasting, etc.). You will be responsible for analyzing current processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing value-added solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process engineering principles and a passion for continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor key variables of the manufacturing sub-processes (e.g. knock-out, cutting, grinding, and cleaning) to determine process stability
- Conduct detailed analyses of existing manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvement initiatives
- Design and evaluate experiments to optimize process parameters and improve product quality
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and compliance
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track process performance and identify potential issues
- Investigate and troubleshoot process deviations or failures, implementing corrective actions as necessary
- Actively participate in project teams to provide process engineering expertise and support
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- At least 1+ years of experience in process engineering, preferably in the processing of castings or other metallic products
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in process simulation tools and statistical analysis software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles and methodologies
- Familiarity with industry regulations and standards related to process engineering
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
