The primary job purpose is to develop, engineer, and analyze plant process systems for improving efficiencies on existing systems and new processes. In this role, the Process Specialist is expected to 1) quantify and communicate processing technology to Management, 2) troubleshoot production circuit issues, 3) supervise and direct plant trials, 4) directly participate in the commissioning Plant Process technologies, 5) participate as required on internal or customer process improvement teams. 6) Manage the plants continuous improvement activities, and 7) Manage the parts warehouse
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Oversee the effective implementation of the process management system
Maintain the Process Management Systems for the Site
Develop solutions to problems. Find & implement ideas to improve the profitability of various processing units.
Identify problems related to routine work & determine solutions within scope of prescribed methodology
Assist in estimating materials, time & cost of projects.
Assist in evaluation & selection of equipment & materials.
Assist in driving plant productivity using six sigma or lean manufacturing methods
Productivity improvements will focus on debottlenecking, yield improvements, operating efficiency improvements, and product quality improvements.
Responsible for preparing financial analyses of each process improvement to determine the impact to the business and the project priority.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Skills and Attributes Requirements
Basic knowledge of engineering principles, theories, concepts & techniques.
Ability to work well in a team environment
Problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities
Strong math and analytical skills are required
Knowledge of statistical analytical techniques and concepts
Demonstrated self-starter who is self-motivated
Strong personal computer skills including Google Applications preferred
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma
20% Travel (to Crenshaw, MS)
Education/Experience Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Engineering
Minimum 3 years heavy industrial experience, working on process flow
Project management experience a plus
Required Activities
Work is performed in the process/production areas. Standing and walking frequently up to 60% of work time. Sitting up to 40% of work time. Lifting/carrying up to 25 pounds occasionally up to 25% of work time. Climbing stairs occasionally up to 10% of work time – ability to work at heights.
