Job Overview:

Summit Anaheim currently has an open position for Process Engineer (1st shift). Summit Interconnect is a manufacturer of advanced technology printed circuit boards with a specific focus on complex rigid and rigid-flex product with unique expertise in RF/Microwave applications.


Position Summary:  Responsible for assisting the process engineering efforts for continuous improvement in process, cost, quality, and production.

 

Qualifications:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a minimum of one (1) year experience in the printed circuit board industry and must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

  

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide technical support to manufacturing, engaging hands-on with equipment and production teams to optimize processes.
  2. Plan and execute projects, achieving goals set by the Process Engineering Manager/Supervisor.
  3. Develop and document process controls to ensure product quality and efficiency.
  4. Establish test methods, perform evaluations, and analyze results to assess existing and future technologies, products, and services.
  5. Provide technical input and informed judgment to the disposition of discrepant material/ product.
  6. Monitor and evaluate the performance, efficiency, and effectiveness of established processes and procedures.
  7. Monitor process performance and drive continuous improvement across operations.

 

General Performance Criteria:

  1. Process and product yields.
  2. Process control implementation.
  3. Effectiveness of line support.
  4. Effectiveness in solving process issues.
  5. Communication and documentation of process activities.


Education/ Qualifications:

  1. Four Year Degree in Science or related field or equivalent education and work experience.
  2. Minimum 1 years’ experience in printed circuit board processes.
  3. General knowledge of multi-layer PWB manufacturing.
  4. Good oral and written skills.
  5. Ability to interface in a positive manner with co-workers at all levels.
