Title: Process Controls Engineer
Location: St. Gabriel, LA

Salary: $116,000 - $152,000 depending on experience
Schedule: 9/80 schedule available
Relocation Available

Focus: The Process Controls Engineer is a resource that will provide technical support of process control systems across Operations with a modern DCS as well as maintain existing control systems. These roles resolve plant issues, drive improvements, and share knowledge to strengthen the performance of the team. 

Process Controls Engineer Essential Functions:

• Develop, update, and simulate code improvements for the DCS that have been identified by process knowledgeable personnel.
• Ensure control loops are adequately tuned, and process parameters are controlled to allow consistent operating conditions, product quality, etc.
• Coordinate with MES application-related efforts with the team and application users in mind and assist in the identification and development of Most Effective Technologies (MET).
• Assist with FEL-2 and FEL-3 estimates and engineering by providing plant level knowledge and insight, or work with the plant to generate the information required.
• Work independently as a system owner, providing care and troubleshooting of process automation systems and their associated networks and interfaces.
• Identify and manage Preventative Maintenance tasks and health checks for the systems that you support and provide corrective support in response to a system error condition or failure as the first point of escalation from the plant.

​ Process Controls Engineer Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree* in Engineering; Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical discipline preferred.
• 5+ years of experience with chemical manufacturing processes.
• Experience with Yokogawa, Aspen Tech, Primavera P6, Smart Plant preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to problem solve and work in a team environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
• Must be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) and must possess a valid US driver’s license.
