Job Description

Set up, run and maintain offset, flexographic or digital printing presses to meet color, registration and production specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Mix inks, install plates/cylinders and load substrate rolls or sheets

• Calibrate press controls for speed, pressure, ink density and alignment

• Conduct in‑process quality checks (densitometer, spectrophotometer)

• Perform routine maintenance (blanket changes, roller cleaning, lubrication)

• Troubleshoot web breaks, jams and color variations; minimize waste

• Complete job tickets and daily production reports

Typical requirements

• 1–3 years operating commercial or packaging presses

• Ability to read job dockets & color proofs; basic math for ink formulas

• Familiarity with G7/ISO color standards desirable

• High‑school diploma; technical certificate or union apprenticeship a plus
