Job Overview:

Position Overview

In this position, the Print Service Technician provides on-site repair of office communication tools, such as copiers, printers and networks. Providing outstanding customer support by meeting the needs of the end users in a courteous and timely manner along with the effective repair of the equipment.

 

Job Duties:

  • Performs customer site service and support on printers, copiers, and other multi-function equipment.
  • Follows VAF Copier Service procedures and guidelines, including closing service calls accurately.
  • Maintains a detailed and accurate parts and supply inventory.
  • Achieves high levels of customer satisfaction by delivering confident, timely, and professional service support.
  • Provides basic connectivity support.
  • Meets or exceeds defined production and quality standards.
  • Participates in continued education and training opportunities.
  • Maintains territory integrity.

 

Organizational Relationships

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

 

Specific Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to manage time, maintain a schedule, monitor hours, and only work overtime once it has been approved.
  • Consistently strong in punctuality, timeliness, and work ethic.
  • Ability to troubleshoot break-fix issues with copiers, printers, and multi-function equipment.
  • Ability to learn in a self-directed manner to maintain current knowledge of assigned devices and/or equipment.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to gather and synthesize detailed information through listening and questions skills.
  • Ability to apply customer service skills and work-tracking skills to ensure positive closure of issues.
  • Knowledge and skills in Mechanics, Electronics, Basic Computer and Applications.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Customer-centric approach to service delivery and communications.
  • Prior experience in problem identification, isolation, diagnosis, and resolution.

 

 

 

Required Education and/or Experience 

  • High School diploma, or equivalent.
  • 1 - 2 years’ minimum of technical support and/or industry related experience.  

 

Preferred Education and Experience

  • 2-year degree in electronics, telecommunications or related field or equivalent experience.

 

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Must have a valid Driver’s License
  • Maintains a good driving record with no traffic violations.

 

Work Environment

  • The work environment is mobile in nature and will service varying industries and atmospheres.
  • This position requires working independently, as well as part of a team.
  • This position requires verbal and face-to-face contact with others on a daily basis.
  • Frequent use of a VAF provided laptop and cell phone is necessary.
  • This position requires the use of all general office equipment.
  • Requires travel using a VAF provided vehicle.
