Applied Signal Technology (AST) is looking for a Principal Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) Engineer to join our top-tier Engineering team and play a key role in driving our mission forward. What You Will Do
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and define system requirements
Plan, coordinate, and execute system integration and testing activities
Develop and maintain system architecture and design documentation
Work autonomously yet collaboratively in a team environment
Travel up to 25%
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
Typically requires minimum of 8 years of practical experience in Systems Engineering including experience with design, development and testing of custom hardware and software systems of high complexity
Experience creating detailed test plans, procedures, and reports to ensure system functionality and performance meet specifications
Experience troubleshooting and resolving issues identified during integration and testing phases
Experience working with customers, end users, hardware design teams, and software design teams
Active and transferable TS/SCI U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain polygraph prior to start.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience with or basic understanding of telecommunications systems concepts and/or signal processing
Experience with automated system deployments
Experience with enterprise grade storage equipment
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerized systems
Experience with User Interface development
Experience with object-oriented programming languages
Desired Education: Master of Science (MS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a STEM related field.
