We are currently searching for a Program Support Specialist to join our Mission Systems Value Stream Services Department to support the TACAIR Value Stream Leadership (VSL) team located in Cedar Rapids, IA. The individual will be responsible for partnering with the VSL team in all activities associated with pursuit, order, capture, production, and execution of existing and future programs.

Emphasis is focused on supporting the domestic program teams with a variety of activities such as: pursuit and proposal coordination and support, financial reporting, domestic customer interaction/action item reporting, factory production coordination and customer deliverable management. This position coordinates activities across the Collins shared services business model and requires collaborative working relationships with Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, Contracts, Order Administration, Subcontracts, Quality, Finance, and Services and will require external customer interface. Travel as required (20%).

What You Will Do

  • Provides key support to domestic programs and production, including NAVAIR customer and contract management, production management, and USAF kitting program management

  • Worked hand in hand with senior VSLs on schedules and program issues and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives

  • Networks with internal and external personnel on issue resolution and meeting customer commitments. Represents organization as a prime contact on key issues

  • Provides coordination and management of PARs repository, Gate Review support and other overarching program support responsibilities

  • Deadline Driven – Programs have hard deadlines and often approval meetings need accomplished prior to those deadlines

  • Persistence – Dealing with hardware for a program requires the ability to be tenacious to get the answers needed to make decisions

  • Analysis and resolution – Demonstrate the ability to provide a logical, in-depth analysis of a problem or situation and contribute to solution/recommend next steps

  • Cooperation – Takes personal initiative to proactively serve as team motivator creating strong morale and synergy

  • Coordinating – Ensures that information has been received and accurately understood by all parties

  • Decisiveness – Exhibits the personal confidence necessary to make critical decisions, even amidst controversy and doubt

What You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Top Secret Security Clearance is required ​

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance ​

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
