This position will provide direct site support to all aspects of quality assurance for a site that is relocating from Hampton, NH to Durham, NH in 2026. This role will be flexible in daily activities required to support customer audits, regulatory compliance, adherence to industry specifications. This individual will join a site of ~150 employees that is looking to expand their production capabilities and throughput 50%-100% over the next 5 years.

Relocation allowance will be provided.

What You Will Do

  • Reviews Customer Quality/industry specification requirements and ensure product compliance and controls are adequately flowed down and maintained in the production environment.

  • Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation, control systems and protocols for materials being processed into partially finished or finished products.

  • Working with product design and specification, devises testing plans, methods and equipment to assure reliability of product Collaborates internally to ensure quality standards are in effect.

  • Identifies and manages risk in product development primarily utilizing and driving PPAP core elements (e.g. PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow and Control Plans, etc.).

  • Performs Escape management procedures, root cause analysis, and recommends corrective action for design problems for internally produced products & processes. Ensures all requirements are met for work transfer and process change management including Resourcing Gate and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) acceptance.

  • Responsible for Program and Production Quality Engineering and the development of new inspections methodologies to assure product conformance.

  • Analyze data to facilitate process improvements; assist with process certification projects to implement process improvements; develop and stand up methods of process certification and control for legacy manufacturing (e.g. control charts, statistical process control, etc.).

  • Work with a multifunctional team to improve Quality-focused business metrics, such as COPQ (Cost of Poor Quality) and yield.

  • Quality Clinic and Material Review Board participation and certification support.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires; Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 8 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, quality or similar environment OR advanced degree and 5 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, quality or similar environment.

  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Working Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.

  • Nadcap Heat Treatment


Qualifications We Prefer

  • Demonstrated experience meeting commitments in a deadline driven environment; ability to balance and resolve conflicting priorities

  • Working knowledge of AS9100

  • Proficiency in Epicor ERP

  • Certified Quality Engineer or Lean Six-Sigma Black Belt

  • Practical experience in APQP techniques

  • Aluminum Brazing

  • Experience with Data and Statistics analysis

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
