None/Not RequiredWe have an opportunity for an experienced professional in Materials & Logistics, with exceptional data analysis skills to join our team in a state-of-the-art I4.0 facility as a Principal Logistics Specialist. In this position, you will work independently, monitor distribution of materials, develop standard operating procedures, evaluate inventory costs and set service rates. You will collaborate with internal and external customers, and confer with department leads regarding warehouse activities, and efficiently respond to customer inquiries.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Work collaboratively within Logistics team to respond to immediate issues that occur daily related to stock levels, SAP data, or other system related issues.
Own and facilitate the cycle counting program and execution including 3rd party audits.
Own and facilitate SLED process.
Serve as a focal for Logistics Transformation analytics specifically related to planning processes and material flow through kitting process and material presentation. Works closely with logistics IE on design and execution of improvements and changes.
Collaborate with Logistics IE and leadership to support efforts to drive efficiency gains and streamline throughput. Key resource for analytic support.
Confer with department leads to coordinate warehouse activities, such as production, sales, records control, or purchasing, to ensure the efficient movement of material from receiving, or the warehouse, to production.
Develop standard and emergency operating procedures for receiving, handling, storing, shipping, or salvaging products or materials to increase efficiency and optimize processes.
Join data sources, code formulas, and relate data results to logistics business processes and opportunities for improvement.
Continuous improvement projects including layout changes and building consolidations.
QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE:
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
Advanced MS Excel skills including, PivotTables, INDEX MATCH, XLOOKUP, and statistical and text manipulation functions
QUALIFICATIONS WE PREFER:
Advanced knowledge of Logistics processes, Receiving, Inspection, Stockroom, Shipping.
Presentation skills including creation of PowerPoint content and periodical reporting to senior leadership on high visibility projects.
Experience creating standard work instructions for Logistics tasks and processes.
Problem-solving skills with ability to proactively identify alternate solutions to overcome difficult technical challenges.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals.
Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience using analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively identify and resolve issues and mitigate risks.
Proven ability to facilitate difficult conversations and communicate early and concisely with individuals at all organizational levels.
