What you'll do
- Interfaces with and support, as required, the different divisions in all project phases (application engineering, proposal, project implementation, commissioning), making detailed technical presentations to customers, acting as internal consultants to peers in the Engineering Department.
- May also be assigned to have full technical responsibility for a contract, including the correctness and adherence to specification for all designs, supervising teams of engineers and designers.
- Participate in SMS USA technology group, interfacing with counterparts at the parent company on issues related to new technologies, R&D, etc, assimilating and maintaining expertise in the current technology of the parent company
- When necessary, prepares detailed technical papers, explaining and supporting the company’s positions in matters of controversy.
What you'll need
- B. S. degree in Engineering, Material Sciences, Physics, Chemistry or other related field.
- M. S. or another advanced degree is a plus.
- Minimum twelve (12) years of experience in the related field or process.
- Individuals in this position will have acquired a high degree of specialization and expertise in one or more of the processes and equipment associated with SMS USA product lines.
- Ability to work well in cross-functional teams.
- Excellent oral and written English language skills.
- Knowledge of German language is a plus, but not required
